last week i finished the editing process making sure that all clips were in right order, all music was added, title sequence and credits were completed and making sure i had included edit types which should all fit together to create a product that i wanted to achieve through the vision of my script and storyboard. i then burnt the clip off imovie hd onto a disc and i chose what graphics i wanted on the dvd. at the end of the week i started to sort out my portfolio of work making sure i have all the work required of my own in my folder and also a copy of the work that other members of my group did to have all the work needed in this unit. after i have completed most of the folder work i will do my evaluation on how well i have done in this unit.

this week i continued editing. i inserted short animations that i created on paint to separate the scenes. i placed in some edit types such as dissolve to merge the scenes together and to make a smoother transition. i then went onto garage band and started to select some music to put in the soap. in miss hateleys lesson i started my evaluation.
last week we refilmed the scenes in our soap. this time we filmed it with an actual film camera, an overhead microphone and headphones to listen to the sound quality. we then watched the scenes that were filmed and imported them onto imovie hd. i then edited it placing all the scenes together and cutting the bits off we didn't need. by fridays lesson i had finished the basic editing for the soap.

last week we continued filming the scenes of our soap and once we had completed it we checked it on the computer and scenes that weren't very good we did again. i then started to upload all of the infromation off the camera and started to piece it together on imovie hd.

Last week I completely finished the script with all relevant information on it. Once i had finished the script, I designed a storyboard over 2 and a half sides of A4 paper. On each page there was 8 frames consisting of a shot of the action and text down the bottom. I included the camera shots, angles and movements. i also included edit types and short animations between scenes. after i had finished the storyboard i talked to the group about where we would be filming using the script and scenes to give us a guideline. we then started filming a the end of the week filming through the scenes that were possible at the time. filming continues into this week and will finish when necessary.

this week i have finshed off the script for the production. everyone in the group has been given a copy so they know what it is about and know what their roles are. i then carried on editing the opening titles for the soap and adding different trasitions, graphics and pictures.

in week 1 we decided on our roles and i decided to take on the roles of director, co script writer, storyboard artist, locations manager and editor. we had our pictures took and we made job profiles for every member of the group. at the end of the week and into the next week i started the script with cieron while the other members were doing textual analysis and questionaires. in week 3 i carried o with the script. for the last three lessons of week 3 i have being creating the logos and graphics for our production. we took photos of everyone in the production and started to create the opening titles using garage band for the music and imovie HD for the actually opening titles. we created it on the macs.
